    Arrive at the Bahrain International Airport and meet with our representative to be transferred to your hotel. Overnight stay at the hotel.

    After breakfast today you set out for a full-day excursion of Bahrain. Start at the stunning Fateh Grand Mosque, set against the backdrop of palm trees and the sea. The mosque is the largest in the island and can accommodate more than 7000 worshippers at any given time. You are advised to dress modestly here. A visit to the Bahrain National Museum is next on your itinerary. Dedicated to paintings, sculptures and ceramics from Dilmun civilization of 6000 years ago, the museum is your ticket to know about history of Bahrain. Don’t miss the section on Arabic calligraphy while you are here. Adventure and car racing fans will like the next stop on the journey – Bahrain International Circuit. The highlight of your visit will be becoming privy to some behind-the-scene action through the exploration the landmark eight-storey Sakhir Tower, home to the Media Centre, the region’s most advanced global communication centre. You will also get to enter the Race Control Tower as well as BIC Pit Shop before you leave the premises. You will stop for lunch at a local restaurant in the afternoon, following which you will visit the Bahrain Fort, locally known as the Qal'at al-Bahrain, built in the 16th century by the Portuguese. This World Heritage Site is popular as the excavation site of several antiquities from the Dilmun civilisation.The Burial Mounds that you visit afterwards are of great archaeological significance, with some of them dating back to the Dilmun civilisation while others go back to the Hellenistic period of Alexander, the Great (2500 BC). Culminate your day by visiting Manama Souq/Gold City in Manama. You could shop for electronic goods, bargain T-shirts, nuts, spices, sheesha bottles and a plethora of other Bahraini essentials in the Manama Souq whereas you could take back a precious gift of exclusive natural pearls of Bahrain from the Gold City for your loved one/s.

    After a hearty breakfast at 9, you will move towards your first destination of the day- the Shaikh Isa Bin Ali House in Muharraq, the residence of current king’s great-great-grandfather. Symbolising a traditional Gulf house from the 19th century, the house was the center of Bahraini power from 1869 to 1932. You will love the traditional gypsum and woodcarving designs reflected throughout the house. From here, proceed to Shaikh Ebrahim Centre, boasting traditional architecture, built on a plot of land that belonged to the house of an intellectual na med Shaikh Ebrahim bin Mohammed Al Khalifa. The building hosts a series of rotating lectures, exhibitions and recitals by prominent writers, philosophers and artists from all over the world. Next, visit the Muharraq Souq, popular for its sweets, especially halwa which is a sticky sweetmeat still made in the traditional way in enormous copper pots. Stop for lunch at a local restaurant. Conclude your day’s travels by visiting the Al Areen Wildlife Park, boasting an impressive diversity of native birds and mammals. Some of the animals that you will meet here include ducks, pelicans and flamingos as well as exotic birds such as gazelles, oryx, wild sheep, and ostriches. Return to your hotel for overnight stay.
