  • Day 2 Arrival in Kathmandu

    Arrive in Kathmandu and be transferred to your hotel. 

  • Days 3-4 In Kathmandu

    Today you have the full day to obtain your visa for China. Overnight stay at your hotel. 

  • Day 5 Kathmandu - Lhasa

    Kathmandu - Lhasa

    Be transferred to the Kathmandu International Airport for your flight to Lhasa Gonggar Airport in Tibet Autonomous Region, China. Drive to the holy city of Lhasa, the centre of the Tibetan Buddhist world. Overnight stay at a hotel. 

  • Day 6 Lhasa

    Spend the day sightseeing around Lhasa. Begin your excursion by visiting the breathtaking Potala Palace soaring above the city. A UNESCO World Heritage Site, this palace was once the residence of the Dalai Lama. Next, visit the Jokhang Temple, considered one of the most sacred Buddhist temples in the city. End the day by visiting another palace, the Norbulinka Palace, significant because of its association as the traditional summer residence with the successive Dalai Lamas since 1780s. Overnight stay at your hotel. 

  • Day 7 Drepung Monastery and the Sera Monastery

    Drepung Monastery and the Sera Monastery

    Today you visit two of the ‘great three’ gompas of the Gelug University of Tibet – the Drepung Monastery and the Sera Monastery during the first leg of your travels. Both these monasteries are of great religious significance and are great places to learn about Buddhism. Culminate your day’s travels by visiting the Barkhor Market near the Jokhang Temple. Popular as the ‘Window to Tibet’, the market is a great place to buy souvenirs such as cushions aprons, leather bags, handmade quilts and carpets, knives, hats, and loc al style dishware.   • Day 8 Gyantse

    Drive to Gyantse, a city lying on a historic trade route between India and Tibet and known for its old-world charm and lazy vibes. Here, visit the astounding Kumbum Stupa in the Pelkor Chode Monastery. The Pelkor Chode Monastery borrows architectural elements from both a pagoda and a monastery. The Kumbum Stupa, with nine layers of nearly 77 temple halls adorned with a total of 10,000 Buddha statues, is the most striking feature of the Pelkor Chode Monastery. Overnight stay at a 3-star hotel. 

  • Day 9 Shigatse

    Spend the day exploring Shigatse, Tibet’s second-largest town and the traditional capital of Tsang province. One of the major draws here is the Tashilumpho monastery, the second largest monastery in Tibet founded in 1447 by the 1st Dalai Lama. Overnight stay at a 3-star hotel. 

  • Day 10 Saga – Pigu Tso Lake

    Saga – Pigu Tso Lake

    Visit the army town of Saga this day on the banks of the Yarlung Tsangpo River, the last overnight stop for most tourists on their way to Mt. Kailash. On your way, however, do stop at the Pigu Tso Lake, one of the most beautiful lakes in Tibet. Overnight stay at a local guesthouse. 

  • Day 11 Lake Mansarovar

    Today you visit the famous Lake Manasarovar, the highest body of freshwater fed by the Kailash Glaciers. Lake Manasarovar has a great religious significance in Buddhism, Jainism as well as Hinduism. Overnight stay at a local guesthouse. 

  • Day 12 Tarboche - Derapuk

    Drive to Tarboche, popular for its 80 feet high flagpole that remains covered with prayer flags and is the sight of a popular religious festival called Saga Dawa. Tarboche is also famous for Drachom Ngagye Durtro cemetery. From here, trek to Derapuk for enjoying mesmerising views of the north face of Mt. Kailash. Overnight stay at a local guesthouse. 

  • Day 13 Depapuk – Zutupuk – Dolma La Pass

    Depapuk – Zutupuk – Dolma La Pass

    Today you will cover the arduous 18 kilometres between Derapuk and Zutupuk, including passing through the Dolma La Pass at an elevation of 19500 feet. This one of the most strenuous as well as rewarding experiences of your journey as the crossing over this pass represents a transition from the former life to a new one in which all of the previous sins are forgiven by the goddess of Mercy. Overnight stay at a local guesthouse. 

  • Day 14 Lake Mansarovar

    Your trek ends today and you will spend the day driving back to the Lake Manasarovar. Overnight stay at a local guesthouse. 

  • Day 15 Saga

    Travel back towards Saga from Lake Manasarovar. Overnight stay at a local guesthouse. 

  • Day 16 Shigatse

    From Saga, drive towards Shigatse. Overnight stay at a hotel. 

  • Day 17 Lhasa

    From Shigastse, drive back to Lhasa via the northern route. Overnight stay at a hotel.
