Meet your driver at the Luang Prabang Airport and transfer to your hotel. Late afternoon enjoy one hour walking tour of Luang Prabang’s atmospheric night market with extensive collection of colourful, traditional and ethnic handicrafts.

Very early in the morning travel to Vat Nong Temple to witness the Tak Bath Ceremony, a traditional Lao rite of alms giving to the monks. Several hundred monks file through silently to collect alms. This is an amazing site and your guide will be able to demonstrate and explain the importance of this ritual. Afterwards visit the local market to take in the sights and sounds of the early morning activity & see array of meats, spices and vegetable locals use in their cooking.

Afternoon enjoy a guided tour of this beautiful UNESCO World Heritage town. Nestled in a stunning setting amid lush mountains. Morning take a local motorboat up in the Mekong River to visit the sacred Pak Ou Buddha caves, long considered a holy spot for the Lao people. Locals make a pilgrimages to this place to put images of Buddha inside the cave for good luck. Stop at Ben XangKhong, where the weaving of Lao textile still takes place on wooden looms. Enjoy lunch before you cruise back. Rest of the day at leisure - perhaps to climb 328 steps up Phousi Hill for panoramic sunset views.

Today is free for your individual activities, taking in various sounds and sights of this beautiful city. Alternatively chose from many optional activities. Visit Kuang Sy waterfalls, located 30 kilometres south of Luang Prabang, with several limestone pools in the area.
